Buy the parts individually, and use a K&N filter, and put your football back on. Real easy mod, and if you do it this way you'll get the best parts for the least money (with no extra parts left over).
Also, you can get a chrome, black or standard finish on the backing plate, so you can fit your style as you see fit.
Thanks for the info guys! That's encouraging. How much did that SE kit cost ya?
Check out eBay. People are selling the entire kit all the time. Probably because they bought a Big Bore Kit and didn't need the Filter part of it. Usually between $50-$75.
Just make sure it's the newer type which is washable. Not the old blue filter one..
On my DYNA, I ran the Arlen Ness Big Sucka intake, which uses a K&N re-usable filter. I used the factory football cover on that for quite awhile, no problem.
LOL! You guys are awesome. Not only 1 option but a bunch! Now I just gotta get the fuel remapper. I assume I can buy the slip-ons now, then save for the fuel management system, then the AC. I didn't figure I should get the AC till after the other stuff.
Do the A/C and Fuel Management System at the same time. The slip-on's don't need a remap if the A/C isn't changed, but when you add the A/C, add the fuel managment system. I like my "football" too, especially since I powdercoated it. I need to get the K&N filter though, I have the SE A/C Kit that had the filter with the paper element, it is fine for now, but will change it out at some point.
