Cable upgrade time.

I want to upgrade the clutch, throttle/idle and brake cables on my 07 Deuce. What's the latest, best bang for the buck cables these days?

Anybody have any pics of the Magnum Black Pearl cables installed on their bike?

Also, what's the difference between them, the Chromite II and Polished Stainless cables if any?

When I upgraded my cables, I used the braided steel ones. To me they give a little classier look than the stock ones.

I bought the Sterling chromite cables from Drag specialties. They are a braided steel cable that is really bright. They look great next to the chrome. The price is good too.

I got the same cables, but from the makers, Magnum.
I first ordered the stock HD Diamondbacks before I realized that they would be too long with the new bars. So I got the Chromite II's and discovered that they are the people who supply HD with their Diamonbacks. The only difference is that the HD version has a black covering over the SS braided line (all but the front brake line) for about half their lenght.
Up side is that didn't have to deal with shipping as they are located less than 25 miles from my house. Down side is that they had to charge me the 8.5% state and local taxes.

The top cable is the Chromite II Clutch cable and the bottom is the HD Diamondback clutch cable.

PS One word of caution, when replacing the clutch cable be VERY careful screwing the end into the tranny end plate. The cable end fits very snugly and being hollow is very easy to snap off in there. Doing that will mena getting a new cable and maybe a new tranny plate, unless you can get the little piece out.
