After having my heritage since early June - I finally stripped off the passenger back rest/seat and luggage rack. I also took off the chrome wind deflectors that go on the front fork by the windshield mounts.
The back end of the bike looks soo clean now. I can't believe I didn't do this sooner. I'm really digging the look right now!
I'll try and get some before and after pics for ya'll when i have a chance so I can get your opinions.
I recently put my stock solo seat back on, replacing a Corbin touring seat. I love the look of the fender with nothing on it. Like you said, very clean.
This is funny because I have quick detach bags, a 2 up seat, sissy bar and shield. So at times, my bike looks more like a Heritage than a FB! These bikes are so versatile they rock!!!

+1 on the versatility. Mustang solo seat, stock seat, detachable backrest, detachable bags and just added detachable fairing. Life is good !
When I took off the passenger seat I found that part of the driver backrest was gone, allowing me to slide back a bit. I put the passenger seat back on just to get more back support. Whatever works best for you.
Add me to the nekked list! Stripped it down a few days ago.. I love the look and I can actually hear my exhaust tone better w/o the bags blocking it. I need to get some kind of quick release for bags n sissybar though cuz wifey likes to ride too.
