Both my OEM and Analog Dipsticks leak a little bit. The oil level is fine but when she gets hot or it maybe its high revs. It bubbles out a little bit.
I am not sure I understand some if the previous posts. Maybe its high pressure in the oil tank. What could cause this?

To work and back today and still no leak from the OEM dipstick. Here's what I'm going to try with my analog temp indicator dipstick. The area that comprises the seal is actually three ridges or rings of plastic that contact the dip tube of the oil tank. These rings are separated by "grooves". You see where I'm going with this. I'm going to find a good (KalRes) o-ring that will fit in the grooves in an attempt to improve the seal. If it works, I'll let you know, if it doesn't, well it was an idea. Thanks again for your input.
changed oil as per article in popular bike magazine. Way too much oil, but didn't find out until the next day when my son took it out on the highway and got the engine good and hot. Now oil is leaking around dipstick cap and through the hose (breather) going straight to the ground. Oil got to plugs also, as the engine was running really rough.
Removed excess oil, changed plugs, will get new oil cap, what else can I do short of going to dealer and spending my sons college money. Do you think we did major damage? Thanks.
