I'm sure you guys are selective of what you put into a bag mounted on the swingarm. I would think it would beat the crap out of anything in it since it is bouncing along with the wheel. Are you just wrapping up the stuff in it to keep it from getting damaged? I'm thinking tools and other stuff would be banging and rubbing against each other constantly. How are you guys handling this? I realize on a smooth road, this wouldn't be an issue but I frequently find myself on less than perfect surfaces.

I only plan to keep my helmet lock, clean tee shirt and some kind of cap in it. I'll probably switch to a Boonie hat (that I can roll up) instead of the baseball cap.

The bag from Leatherworks is made out of a very stiff/firm leather and I keep anything from rain gear to hats to tools and even my baffles (just in case I need to go stealth).

Leatherworks...but I couldn't get it direct. I had to find a local retailer; their web-site has a list.

Default Swingarm bag

I thought I've saw a photo of a softtail here that had a leather bag attached to the swingarm.

Default I took mine off......

I took a left turn and the lean angle caused the bag to drag. It was the leatherwirks bag. It completely removed the stitching from the bottom of the bag. A complete waste of money... Anyone want to buy it ?

I have the bag on the belt side. It really doesn't go on the exhaust side. The point is, is that these type of bags are unilateral or one sided. From behind the bike is pretty nice looking so don't expect a balanced look that baggers have.

I have a bag from Garageleathers and I love it. Very well made and very tough, but one thing is a few months into it it sags across the top and bulges out a bit with nothing in it. Has that happened to yours? I have one of the brass single latches. Maybe the weight of the latch pulls it down. Just curious if they just do that over time

Rob
I've had it a few months now...You know, I believe mine bulges a bit too...I thought it was just due to the fact, that I over stuff the Beoootch!!

I actually used zip ties on the straps that attach to the swingarm to be a tighter fit!!
