Scraping the boards I don't mind. I hate it when I start dragging the engine guard. Yikes!!

before i wrecked my heritage (lol) scraping was part of owning one imho. you can feel when you get into the floorboard brackets. the rear end will get light start to lift. as others have said it is a warning, but you can take it a little further, not much.
