Hi all, I recently purchased an '08 Deluxe and immediately changed the exhuast to VH true dual and updated the power commander. I just purchased a Bikin Beach Handle Bar from J&P Cycles. I would like to change the stock 5" pull back risers to a 2" straight with no off set bolt pattern. But I can not locate any. I would like to keep the top bolt on plate because of the styling. This is proving to be really difficult because I have gone to two local dealers that can not locate any either. What is odd though is that Harley's web site shows a picture of what I think is a Heritage with the risers that I would like but they do not offer them. Any help is appreciated. Please include web links or part number. Thanks again.
That top plate is kind of unique in that the bolt holes are straight as for most other risers the holes are angled. That's probably where your problem is..
As cool as that top plate might be it probably has to go. I replaced mine with a standard chrome plate.
Pisses you off... doesn't it. I swapped my risers with a buddy that has a FXSTC. The Custom has short risers with a straight bolt pattern. You'd think that the top clamp would bolt right on - NOT!!! I'll probably switch to chubby risers this winter. I'll probably cut down the 3" riser they have because I want a 2 to 2.5 inch riser.
