Hi-
I have a 07 Fatboy and have a windshield on it all teh time- can't take the thrashing of the wind at 70 + mph. Have a few ride buddies that have RK and wide glide / street glide. I have not slung a leg over a RK or other bagger, but they appear to ride well and the narrower wheels / tires appear to make them handle better in the twisty corners then my
fatboy which tends to wallow a little in the twisty corners....
Oh well a 600+ pound bike she ain't a going to do the corners like a crotch rocket (lol).
I would like to have a 06 bagger with a 95" kit in it or a 07 with a 107" build.... or for that matter I would like a 107" build in my fatboy LOL; saving coin for that .....
I'd ride my Heritage any day over a glide. I like sitting into the bike not on top of it. Also your knees are in your face on a glide, not so on any softail. My neighbor has an Ultra and we traded bikes for a full days run. He is 6'3" and said he was more comfortable on my Heritage. I of course couldn't wait to get my bike back!
Been shopping around for a touring bike for some time but can't seem to do it considering the fact that I also want a night train. Has anyone done any touring on a 07 or later night train? and how bad is the vibration from the balanced, rigid mounted 96?
You need to PM Clammy and ask him about touring on a train!
