2" sounds really nice. Can I still keep my bike stock with 2"? Any loss of power? Gas Mileage?

if i were you and if you have the cash id go with a complete system ,ive fooled around with the rush slip ons and wasted my money on them and the different baffles and still wasnt happy with the sound that I wanted ,i like to hear the motor going down the highway myself ,and with the new pipes and the fuel pak my bike had more power and just ran better ... i think your just wasting your money on slip ons i thought the same way thinking that i was wasting money on a full system but in the end i was well worth it ..... just my thought

I originally put on a PCIII to handle the 2.25 inch baffles on my slip-ons. Then, the PCIII died, then the replacement PCIII died. Now I have Rush 2.25s, K&N 3909 and XIEDS. The bike runs better than ever and I am happy.

rush says 1.75 or you loose TQ. I had 2.25 and it was too loud for me and those who live next to me. I used to alarm factor to compare. The 2.25 would set off all the car alarms in the mall parking lot when idle through. The 1.75 will not but it will make them chirp if you pop the throttle. Retune, always because Harley makes the engine too lean. The retune will quiet the engine some and take away the deceleration pop. The rush 2.0 are what rush says for the touring models as they have enough back pressure because of the exhaust style. hey if you have money to burn Rienhart makes slip-ons now for Fatboy. I use the stock heat shields also and retain the look.

I just got off the phone with Jeff at Rush...he advises me to go with 1.75, with the stock engine. I think that's what I'm gonna do. Thanks for all your opinions!

Glad we could help. Now for the removal. Easy if you loosen the clamps and take the small bolts out and start the engine. When the exhaust warm up the mufflers will slide out.

But you still may have to do some tugging and wiggling, at least I did, but it does definitely help. Best of luck.

Are there more like you at home? A woman who rides and does her own wrenching... I think I'm in love!

For the OP, I like my Cycle Shack slip-ons... great quality, nice sound, etc. If you have limited yourself to the Rush, 1.75 seems to be the choice for a mostly stock bike w/o losing low end.

LOL! You're sweet, but don't be too impressed as I only do a little here and there. I do enjoy it though when I can find the time. Otherwise, my husband does most of it or one of our friends if it's not something we've encountered before.
