Just wondering How Fast you have got your bike (top speed) up too..
I just took my 08 FatBoy on a lonely stretch of highway with a head wind and got her up to 170kph..(105mph) and it still had some left but the wind and bugs where bad so I backed down..
gawd I hope it goes faster than that. I've had my 08' up to 100 and it seemed like it had a tad more but not a lot.
I wonder why a 1584cc motor is so gutless at high speed. With the massive cc's I'd expect at least an easy 120.
Oh I know the answer, Stage 1, or 2, Sert and what else that costs a lot more than you'd wished it cost to make it go like you wished it'd go.
I will say after bolting on my Samsons the pull up to 60 is really strong. In fact I have to make sure I'm really holding on to the bars. Other than the Samsons all I did was install Xied's so I'm happy with the low speed side of things as it was a big improvement over the stock Fat Boy exhaust. I did not remap as was mentioned it was not neccessary in the Samson instructions.
08 night train backed it down at 105-107. felt like it still had some more pull, but i lost my guts. 06 heritage w/0 windshield 110ish (things get a little fuzzy to see). same problem lost my guts.
buried the 120 speedo once, and that was enough for me, no wind shield or anything is kinda hairy at that speed on these bikes, ive taken rice rockets that some friends own to well over the 130 -140 mark w/o problems and had my trans am over 160(thats where the speedo stopped car kept going) when I still had it
