He made me the horn cover which just mounts over the horn. I had to extend the wires about an inch. I must admit that the horn now sounds like it is passing gas as opposed to a horn from a moped. My stealer tells me that I have to drill some holes into the skulls mouth and eyes and hopefully the horn will return to its crappy self!
No. It is lowered 2 inches, but still not a harstail. WIth the stock rocker seat, not the c seat, the ride was hard but with the danny gray the seat is actually closer to teh fender, but the ride is much smoother.
I lowered mine using the Progressive 422's... With them dropped to max (2"), the swingarm was slammed up against the stock bump stop making it a rigid for all practical purposes.. I installed the smaller stop from my Heartland kit and it gave me travel again and softened the ride however it allowed the seat to rub the fender on rougher roads.. It didn't really matter to me since I was about to do the EZ Rocker kit but to someone that is just wanting to lower it this can be a real problem..
I am just about touching the fender with the danny gray and the ride is fine. When I had the std rocker seat on it, not the c seat, I had more clearance off the fender and the ride was much harsher.. no idea why... and I didnt use teh progressive shocks to lower it, I just went with the harley lowering kit. my dealer said that the progressives may be better because you can adjust from 0 to 2 inches..
