I want to run the electric throught the stock bars on my Heritage. Is this posable? What should I look out for? What size holes do I need to drill? Thanks for your help guys.
It's a piece of cake.
3/8" holes at the top of the dimples. Two 3/8" holes at the center. Grind the center holes to make one long slot. Be sure to de-burr the holes.
I use baby powder in the bars to make the wiring slide through. If you are cutting and soldering the wires, be sure to stagger the cuts and use heat shrink when soldering the wires.
also make sure you install some rubber grommets inthe holes before you run the wires through.
it will keep the wires from being cut, i speak from experience.a little extra paitence saves alot of extra headaches.
