Hello folks,
First time post.
I have an 08 Heritage and changed the muifflers to Rush Slipons - 25301 2" Slash Down - I also purchased the 1.5" baffles. I guess I am getting old. I wanted the classic Harley sound but these pipes are just too loud for me. I am going to sell them.
I want the true dual setup that exits the rear on both sides of the bike. I think that will be better on my "old" ears.
If you want quiet stick with stock.I have V&h true duals with quiet baffles on 07 heritage still loud .I wear ear plugs when i ride so i don't really know what sound you are looking for.
After i had mine done i could hear the engine and the sound was not as harsh and all the popping was gone and the exhaust was quieter like the change between 2in and 1.75 baffles. So i think 1.5 with a tune would sound like stock untill you get on the throttle. My guess would be the difference between singing and yelling. Just sounds better.
