Bought a headlight nacelle off of eBay a while back. Guy thought everything was there to re-install on a Heritage. I would like to know what is suppose to be in teh kit that Harley says you need to install this? The part number is 67897-96B. Can anyone tell me what this kit contains?
Thanks! Would love to install this thing if I have everything here.
The kit has pieces for all model years between '86-'06....What came with the kit?
The hardware kit is required when installing chrome Nacelle with passing lamps or rigid mount windshield.
Did you get the instruction sheets for both the nacelle kit and the mounting hardware kit (9 pages all together)? If not, this might be a tough installation. Now that I think about it....... you must not have them if you're asking for a parts list.
As stated above, the hardware kit covers installations on 1986 to 2000 and later. Near as I can tell........ for 2000 and later the following are required from the hardware kit:
Passing lamp spacer P/N 5864 2 ea.
Acorn nut 5/16-24 P/N 94007-90T 2 ea.
Set screw 5/16-24 x 2" P/N 3283 2 ea.
Button hd screw 5/16-24 x 1.5" P/N 4176 2 ea.
Spacer P/N 5799 2 ea.
These are required for properly re-aligning passing lamps and detachable windshield docking points.
The nacelle kit itself lists 20 different parts and hardware items. The instructions include drilling, cutting and splicing. Did you get these instructions?
