Default Whats this?

I notices my left fork tube had a brownish color liquid around the black seal at the top of the lower fork leg. I wiped it off and have not scene it since. Do I have an issue that needs to go to the dealer? What color is the stock fork oil? Thanks all.

It could be a leaky seal, just keep a eye on it.

Will do. This happened last Sunday. Wiped it off and it did not return after a 80 mile ride. Rode the bike to work today and nothing there. Just scared me since its never happened before. The bike was just in for its 1k service. Thanks all.

also could be grease from the the neck dripping down. sometimes looks like a blown fork seal.

Old fork oil is brown. If your bike has over 10,000 miles on it, could be fork oil.

I've serviced a bunch and you see all kinds of colors. Red, Brown, Green, And even black.
