Yeah... right... I've been waiting on a tank from H-D for three months (warranty issue... leaking)...

I believe we're going back to the AMF days boys...

All the replies about going back to the dealer to get some tin painted isn't gonna work. I can paint. Have done it for years. I cannot get the color my bike was painted. It evidentialy was a one off job and only put on a few bikes for one year, 1990 and the last printed notice of that color disappeared from their database in 1993 so they say.
This was the reply from my local stealer after sending in the VIN to find out what they even called the color.
"Rich Candy Tangerine" is what they said it was and I wanted a quart, not some little "pen" thing because I need to repair a dented rear fender.
So, no thanks to Harley, I have to remove and repaint all the tin in a color that is close but won't be the same.
Just pisses me off they can't even keep track of color codes or share them with us that do paint. I would order the color from them if they had it.
I really liked the color as it's why I bought the thing in the first place.

It might be the same candy tangerine that was offered on a 2000 FXR4. Ask them about that. The "too old" argument will not hold up because that meets the supposed model year requirement. 316 FXR4's were produced that had this color. It was a CVO model.
