Default A buddy needs help......

with a problem on his '05 FXST (Softail Standard). His bike has developed a bad wobble. It's fine untill he reaches 55 to 60 MPH. If it starts wobbling it gets worse if he speeds up. He said he does not feel it in the front end.....the handle bars are not "twisting" on him or anything. The whole bike wobbles. I was behind him and you can definately tell when it's doing it. He said it has gotten worse since he first noticed the wobble.

Any ideas.........suggestions????

Get his wheels balanced...at least two opinions.
One had me with 5 weights and I wobbled badly
over 70...got second opinion.. took off all weights..
Perfect.

1st how mant miles on the rear tire? and did you look at it when you were riding behind him?could have a belt that slipped in the tire causing the wobble.Solid rim or Spoked rim?
Either way AGAPSDIVER called it Check the tire balance.when the tire is on the machine you will see the tire spinning and will be able to tell if a belt shifted
