Success sorta
Just got home from a 4000 or so ride with my new car tire. Interesting to say the least, lessons learned are few, mounted a 205/60 16 Goodyear tripletred to help with speedometer error, that worked well slowed it down roughly 2mph which is close enough.
It's a big old flat tire which creates its own unique handling traits. The ruts created by big trucks are a circus, the tire grabs them and the dance starts quick, at 80 its a seat sticker. It corners great and rain is no problem at all but, uneven pavement gets quick movement and easing out of a parking spot you must watch for the little ridge in some places,if its an inch or more go past it before turning, that fat, flat tire over center means picking it back up. Pot holes must not be negotiated with, hit them square or miss them entirely,a partial miss means the back end REALLY wants to go in. Wearing the edges off on 70 thru Colorado and US 50 in Nevada helped a bunch with slow speed operation, also that big old flat tire reacts slow ,planing ahead for curves is mandatory.
Got into the belt a few times due to the belt walking on the sprocket, nothing hurt but notable. Not going back to MC tire but a change in profile is likely. This tire took 40 lbs to straighten out the squiggles but its wearing well all across the tread.
