You're probably right Reverend regarding leaving it till spring.One other thing I should mention is that the mechanic that last worked on it suggested that it " could be the carb slide" ...but again didn't seem overly concerned about it being specifically that.

Well the bike will be in the living room soon enough tucked away for winter beside the couch so it may be time to remove the carb and check things out while enjoying a few wobbly pops!!

i had that on another bike and it was carb slide sticking. 600 wet dry and wd 40 took care of it. I have seen that happen when one plug or plug wire was bad. With the gas problems today i have heard of it with bad fuels because some stations are not selling much premium
