I understand that when the ignition is on the Acc switch is also "hot".
If I am interested in using heated gloves or heated clothing, how do I regulated the power to the switch to turn them on and off? Can I run them directly off the battery tender connect cable or must they go through the acc switch. I have an Acc switch on my Ultra to turn them on snd off.
I can't really answer your question but be careful using the battery tender cable if it's not fused.
My battery tender is fused. I think this would be a good place to get power for those accesseries. But do remember, it will always be hot no matter what position your ignition switch is in.

I do run my heated gloves and liners using the battery tender wiring and plug. Yes the tender wiring is fused.
You really should be using a controller to turn on/off the gloves/jacket...also controls the amount of heat you get....if you just use the switch...yes...all you get is full on (hot!) or off (cold).

If you want control off the ACC remove the one nut holding the speedo console then flip the console on it's side with a towel underneath on tank. You'll see three wires going to ignition switch. Connect your source positive wire to the red/silver wire(ACC) going to ignition switch with a wire splice and then connect black wire to a good ground and you're all set.
