Check around. I think you can buy pre-wired apes complete with chrome controls and cable for about $550 - $650. Hill Country Custom cycles in Texas is running a pretty good deal.

I'm 6'6" and the 16's (Wild1s mounted on '07 FXSTC risers) on my Deluxe are at about tit level. Go with the 18's for sure.....

What height are the stock FXSTC risers? Seems their not the same as the stock risers that came on my FXST.

Bike looks great as pictured. But, yep, I think apes would be awesome. Like some 14" chubbies. Then again, I think all bikes look better with apes!

6'3" . I think your ride would look sick with Carlini's Ganster apes 18" x 1.25" too, those are bent inwards instead of outwards like the flyin' apes, believe me, you won't be dissapointed on the extra $$$ ($350), they are worth every extra penny.

Check 'em out: www.carlinidesign.com

Ask for Rex there, pretty cool guy,

Mimo.
Yeah I really like Carlini stuff......the bars on there now are 1.5 Carlini clean sweeps. I've checked out the flying apes and the gangster apes and like them both.
It's funny how we gravitate to certain manufacturers.......I love carlini stuff and am a BIG fan of PM stuff.

+1 on the ape package! got mine off ebay from hill country custom cycles. great kit and they really took care of me. the kit had a defect clutch lever, the chrome was flaking and they replaced it asap free of charge. there's a thread i started on the kit, just search for "ape hanger kit" it discusses the kit in depth. in my sig is a pic of the kit installed.

I put on the 16's with a 2" riser. Just did the 7 hour ride home from Daytona and felt great. This was the first time I have really put miles on the bike. (05 FXST). Are those PM rims?
