2" over stock Fork Tubes for FXST, Best Mod so far.
I did install a 2" over stock tubes on my 01 FXST,
First, these guys 'bkrider' make a very good kit, top class, I tried to do it all myself, but the that bottom bolt that requires an impact drive (with the crazy 8m metric piece !!) I did not have so i just took my forks to the shop and picked them done an hour later.
I was nervous about trying to ride the bike with them, I already have had the rear lowered 1.5", so the kick stand still works OK, the bike was higher for sure, but OH MY on the ride,
The bike is INCREDIBLE on the curves, very stable on high speed, AMAZING, the only downside is that I still have to adjust on lower speed, when I have a passenger the bike is a bit unsteady at low speed, but that is normal, nothing too bad either, just the 5k/h downtown traffic light march is a bit harder, and I ain't stuck there long.
Just wanted to share this great Mod, if you have an FXST or Night train, the bike just looks awesome with just 2" above .
