Well I'm not a mechanic, put it includes new pistons, rings, heads and cams. Should make the bike pull alot stronger from what I hear.

I can't give you dollars on an 04.
I have a 90 FXST. I did a SE High flow. V&H Longshots. Kept the CV. It is a good carb when tuned.
I then started asking about the cam. As always 10 questions brought 10 answers.
I found this parts guy, Rex at Pomona Valley HD here in SoCa. He swore by a SE4 cam for my softie.
It took a couple of evenings due to slicing a gasket (of course).

I would do this on every bike I will have from now on. The power is great.
The SE4 is rated around the same as the Andrews EV27 for the single cam bikes. It's as big as you can go w/o doing the valves and stuf.
I was told the dealer wanted about 700 to do the whole job. My cam and pushrods were about 300. Saved 1/2 doing my own surgery.

I have had on for about 500 miles and just grin everytime I get to crank it up.
