Default Windshield for cross bones

Anybody got any suggestions on which one to get. Caught a bird in my mouth going 50+ the other day. I would stick with hd brand.
Noticed they were sold short and tall and smoked and clear.

I'm listening

What's a little bird in the face as compaired to a clean looking bike????? If it was a vulture or eagle that's different.

I agree, not a big fan of the windshield on the Bones, unless you are doing a road trip, but that is just MHO. Check on the HD website or with your local dealer.

I got the detatchable compact one from H-D and I don't lke it. I'm 6'1" and the wind catches me right in the forhead. It rattles my brain and makes for an uncomfortable ride after a while. Maybe your dealer will let you try out a couple of different styles.

Default Cross Bones Windshield

I just installed the low-profile smoke windshield on my Cross Bones. Looks nice on the bike. I've seen it now with the gloss black hardware rather than the chrome. I haven't ridden enough with the windshield yet to give an opinion there. More to follow...

I really miss having a windshield. If I put one on my cross bones I don't think I would take it off. Therefore, I stay away from that page on the catalog.

I think the low profile one looks pretty sharp though....for something that totally takes away the cool factor and point of owning a Bobber....sorry, it had to be said.

choose one. comfort or looks?
At my age I'd hate to have a bike that didn't have one. just me.

Well, If you look back to the 40's style springer pan heads, flat heads (not post war version) they have the windshields,, so they have that older retro look to the bones. Its a fact that if you own the bones you either want it completely bobbed out , like RSD or your going back to the springer old school look with all the hardware, IMO its personal taste, and which era you want your bike to most represent.
Its all good,,,,
I rode a Road king with the windshield, and personally I hated it, perhaps it was something I needed to get use to, but it was not for me.
Bugs come in different sizes,,, and got my head nearly decapitated a few times,,,,,,, but they taste pretty good... and crunchy! Snacks on the go, is very trendy these days.

I think you should get what ever the heck you want....
I would get the biggest darn thing they made...

personally I don't think I would put one on my XB....
How about a helmet with a face shield???
