Default HD Narrow Beach Bars

Good morning...

Has anyone tried the Narrow Beach Bars on their bike? I like the look and feel of the S/E Fatboy and those bars are standard on them. Don't want the wider beach bars and would like to stay with the standard riser types and not T-Bars.

Oh, this is for an '01 Fatboy.

I have them on my HSC. You will need to get the braided cables for the clutch, front brake, and throttle and will also need new risers cause the bars are inch & a 1/4

The jury is still out on whether or not I like them. I like the way they look, but they are not as comfortable as my stock bars. I've adjusted the height once already and will try again to see if I can come to an agreement with my forearms...

Let me know if you want to see better pics than my sig pic...

I put the wide beaches on my 05 FB and felt like an umbrella in the wind, looked nice but too wide and far back. I went to the SE beach bar and like it BUNCHES more. It looks as good and puts you slightly more forward leaning and not as splayed out. I really like these bars with or without my windshield, I am 6'+ in shoes and the bike fits me great now. Go sit on a SE FBoy and then mentally adjust for your seat difference. Hope this helps.

I am also interested in the narrow beach bar. I like the look and want to be able to run internal wiring. I have yet to sit on a SE Fatboy and see how they feel. I would also like to put on the braided cables and would do that at the same time. Now...just to get the ok from my wife.....

I was looking at the HD Narrow Beach Bars a while back, but went with the Wild Ones 504. They are set up for internal wiring and you use your stock cables and risers even though the bars are 1.25 inch dia they are stepped at the grips and clamp area to allow use of the standard risers un like the HD bars. Go to the Wild Ones site they have pic and many styles to choose from www.wild1inc.com

I sat on a SE fatboy and boy what a difference. If you are interested in the SE beach bars. You won't be able to find the part number in the regular catalog. The bars are different than what is listed in the HD catalog. Ask one of the dealers to look the part number up for you. I do remember that they cost about $213 though.

RiggidyRaw, I sat on one too - which is why I'd like to go with it.

You mention that the bars aren't in the regular catalog. They do mention a set that is on the S/E Fatboy (56857-05). The problem is that they state it doesn't work with a hydraulic clutch. That's crap since the S/E Fatboy has a hydraulic clutch. Now, I want a hydraulic clutch (for stupid reasons - to balance out the look) with this. I went to the dealer to try to figure out what's the deal. The part #'s for the clutch master on the S/E is the same as the regular. What gives here? So, if I follow your reasoning, maybe the bars are indeed different and the step that's cut in the left end of the bar is longer to fit the clutch master. I'll have to get the S/E part # from the dealer now...

Damn, that's twice the Harley catalog lied to me.

Yeah, I know how you feel. I wanted to make sure that I would be getting the correct bars when tying in the part numbers and when I went to the dealer, they told me that I couldn't find that part number in the regular catalog. They have a catalog specifically for the Screaming eagle bikes.
