I woulda gone with 16's if it were me but they do look silly cool!

Those apes are sweet lookin!!! 18's are a little tall for me though. I had 16's on my 06 FXSTI, but had to go down to 12" apes after a shoulder injury. I love bikes with apes...and 12" apes is as low as I will ever go.

Sweet, please post pics when you're done. I was stuck between the gangster and the flyin' apes, they both look sick, but the guy at Carlini said he had some blems that only had some light pitting under the bar where it would be covered with the riser. I can't find ANYTHING wrong with the bars anywhere, no pitting, nothing......but I saved $100.

I may document the whole bar change, cable change and harness extend with pics; that way people who want to do their own bar change with the internal wiring etc. will have a little info to go by. You never know, maybe someone will catch something I'm doing and have a faster easier way as well.

are they the 1.25 or the 1.50. I'm buying the same ones this week but i'm 5'10", so i was thinking about the 14 inchers in black.

They look pretty sweet on that thing.

If you don't mind please DO post pics of how you do the change, i'm thinking on putting some apes on my ride and would like to do the job myself.

they are the 1.50's
look great but there are a limited number of risers for 1.50 bars and the Carlini riser was $175
