Default Stage 1

Current ride: 07 FLSTN w/ SE slip-ons, V&H fuelPak, SE a/c.

I'm considering changing the pipes because the bike is a bit too quiet and I want to drop the shotgun pipes below the passenger pegs.

Thinking about changing to V&H Double Barrel Longs (Q-Series) w/ SERT and have the dealer dyno the bike. Unfortunately I haven't heard them yet in person...

According to V&H the Double Barrel Longs (Q-Series) are 97-100db where the Big Shot Longs are 102-105db, this is at 3000rpm and 30 feet from the bike.

I have 2 questions:
1. Are people happy with the sound of their V&H Double Barrel Longs (Q-Series)?
2. Will having the dealer dyno the bike help make the bike run cooler from it's current setup?

I doubt that 5 decibels will make much of a difference but dynoing will supposedly make the bike run better. Get it dynoed if you can. I personally have never had my dynoed as I find it to be too expensive for my current situation, butlike I said above, get it dynoed. You might also want to get a fuel management system like a PCIII or a sert. I had V&H sideshots for a whsile and they were LOUD. My Samson's are LOUDER, but they were LOUD.
