I know this has been beat to death but I cannot find the info I really need. I am running a Metzeler 140 Marathon on the rear. Will a Metzeler 150 fit on the rear with the saddle bag mount bolts. Also are there any advantage to a 150 over a 140 besides looks. Thanks.
Well I guess no one is going to try and help me. Thanks alot. I don't know what the problem is but for the last few weeks no one will reply except to new members or off topic stuff. What in the world is going on.
The 150 is close to 1/2" wider, so if you have more than 1/4" clearance on each side of your tires now you should be fine. I think I would like at least 1/2" each side for deflection.
The bolts don't go deeper than the stock fender bolts I wouldn't think.
As for responses, I think that people are shying away from the tire threads because there have been so many. Might try more of your question detail in the topic.
Not sure that roughly 1/2" will make much difference in handling or looks to answer that part of the question. 25mm to an inch.
