Im going to be ordering my fat daddy wheels from Ride Write this week .I decided on the fat daddys wiyh black powder coated spokes. Just want to ask anyone that has Ride Wrights to let me know how you like them and how they are holding up
I have the red wheels with stainless spokes. I sure wish I had gone black spokes. My stainless pitted horribly after one trip to Florida. I spoke with Sam while at an event about this and he suggested Flitz. That was a joke, just made a mess with the Flitz. I ended up using a Scotch Brite pad on them. I don't mind the flat stainless look. As for the wheel construction and powder coating, no complaints.
The only knock I have is that they didn't tell/warn me that I might need a spacer for the rear as I went with their pulley as well as their wheel. Love the look though!!!
I got my wheels from them. I actually talked to Sam yesterday about the little issue with my order. We're working on it and I'm more than confident that it will solve quickly. He sounds like a very professional man in my opinion.
I noticed there was some rusting on my stainless spokes. Called RW and they recommended using WD-40. So, I broke out a rag and used half of a can. Pain in the a$$!
Like mine alot with no pitting on the nipples.Been in Fl.almost a year.Powder coating is a perfect match.Just checked true and both wheels are still right on.About 8000 miles on them already.
IM glad i asked my ? because I was on the fence between the stainless and the black spokes. IM not even thinking about the stainlees ones anymore, I would go crazy if my spokes rusted .I thought stainless did not rust? And if it did they should replace them.
