Default How to install Kuryakyn ISO left grip

I am putting a handlebar on my buddy's bike, how do you apply adhesive on the left grip? I read the instruction, it said spread the glue evenly inside the grip, how? What do you use to apply glue? A stick or something? I am getting confused.

Seriously?

Have your buddy run a bead of the adhesive along the length of his tallywacker and then slowly slide the grip over it. Now he will get a bit nervous as it begins to dry and get tacky, no more than 5 minutes. If when removing the grip it begins to tug simply shout, oh, s..., here comes your mom. His eyes will get big and his tally wacker will get smaller...the grip slips right off and immediately apply to the bar. Or you can get a stick.

Try putting it on the bar and sliding the grip over it. That might work...

OK, I'm a jerk. It really does not take much adhesive and as suggested simply run a thin bead on the bar in a couple of spots. When you clamp it down with the clutch assembly it will hold it in place as it "tacks" up. Still, you could have your buddy try the first method.....just to test your friendship.

if you put it on the bar it will bunch up at the end where you stop
fit it dry and mark where you want it
run a 1/8" bead around inside the grip about an 1/8" in
put your mark on the bottom and push it on making a half turn to line on your mark
go have a couple beers and let it set

I've done this several times and never had one come loose

Bill

There is a video on the Kuryakyn site of how to do it. They apply the glue to the inside of the grip, roll it around to disperse, and then slide it on.

Here you go: http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go...il/itemID/6212
There's a vid at the bottom.
