Default Molex Connector Problems

I'm mid ape hanger install. Last night I soldered the wiring and went to plug the pins back into the 6 and 8 pin Molex connectors. They would click in and then just slide back out. Whats the trick with these damn molex connectors?!

you sure you have the pin facing the right direction in the plug? There is a little hump on the side of each pin that must go in on the same side as the release hole

Make sure the secondary lock is in the unlocked position too, else it will prevent the pin from locking.

mojo that is an awesome sig pic! Got any more?

I went to the Stealer and took the whole fist up there for a wiring harness kit. $60 later I'm just going to solder the new connectors in there and I should be all set.

Sometimes you have to finesse it but like mojo said, it has to be in the unlocked pos.

I swiped that from the local newspaper's website. I made the front page the day after the local dealer's toy run, so I decided to use the pic.
Chillin' aint I???

I spent a few minutes trying to figure this one out. Like Mojo said (Make sure the secondary lock is in the unlocked position too) this is the flat plastic piece you will see if you look into the end of the connector, it is flat and has holes in it for the pins to come through. Once all pins are in place push it back/in and it will lock everything in place.

O, and I have now been waiting 3 weeks for the Stealer to get my cables in. I'm glad it is cold outside.
