Default Another DNA Mammoth spoke thread...

So I have decided I am gonna get the Mammoth fat spokes for my bike when my other wheels sell. 21" for the front and either a 16" or 18" for the rear. The choices are whitewall or blackwall. If I get blackwalls I can get a 21 18, but if I am going to whitewalls I gotta get the 16 rear. I want some opinions on how blackwall vs whitewall will look on MY bike, and the differences between 16 or 18 on the rear. I am starting to think the whitewalls are too much hassle and I would ahve sacrifice a bit of style for the bigger rear wheel. Well, what do yoiu think? The whitewall on my bike now really set it off in my opinion.

I really like the white walls on your bike. But I don't like the idea of a 16 with a 21 front.

So therein lies the dilemma.

Well the only company that makes a whitewall in 18" is Maxxis, and I am a little hesitant to mix brand and get soem tire brand I ahve never used. That deluxe does look wicked though, doesn't it? Dixie, this is exactly why I asked. I want YOUR opinion.

Well, I am planning on going 18" on front and back, but I know you are into the 21" front type of style like Dinger, and now mimo. I think your bike will look great with blackwalls. What do you want more, a 21" front wheel or white walls?

For myself, I don't want to go as extreme as the 21" front but definately want to go bigger than stock. Also, the 18 will not require a new fender or moding my stock fender at the moment. Although I have considered going 16 rear and 18 front.

good luck with your choice, it will look killer either way.

You could get a 19" front as well without modding the fender WARG

I say go with the 18/21. WW do look good on the black bikes, but the bigger tire on the rear REALLY looks gooooood!

So, why you going with the Mammoths and not the Fat Daddys?
