I have an 08 cross bones. I just had it for about 10 days though so I am not the best reference as regards to what kind of maintenance does the springer need. I love the bike and the ride feel is great. I have the springer seat which I find to be a very comfortable. The bike is surely a head turner, I've had a few compliments from people and friends. I am planning a couple of changes down the road but I love this bike.
I had mine since March. The 500 mile check is B/S. I had mine done and they just looked at it, checked a few nuts and said I was ready to go. No charge, do you believe it. I've got 5000 miles on it now and it's at the dealer for service. I've had no problems with the bike, it's a great bike.
...went with friend of mine a couple of days ago to pick her XB up and although I have a "09 Rocker C and "09 Deluxe.. I had the urge to get one myself...nice bikes... someday...LOL
Coyote....
they should have greased the head bearings... CC
I just remembered, I saw them do the head bearing check two weeks later when I had it in for the 1000 mile service. So it did get done by at least the 1000 mile time period.
My first service on my Bonz was at 1000 miles, and they greased the head bearings along with oil change, blah blah. My first service was free too. Mine's lowered as well.
i asked my dealer to lower mine and they said it already was and they couldnt do it. looks good lowered jisham. any way i have a lowrider too and although i like it i really havent road it since i got my bones in march 08.
