Here is my take on it. I have a Deluxe with all Detachable stuff from bags to racks. I like the stripped down solo look but when I travel the bags and racks go on.
If you do alot of high milage traveling and carrying a ton of stuff then a Bagger is your friend. For regular in town riding why would you want a Bagger.
It's like comparing a MiniVan to a Camaro... (The boys over in the Touring section won't like this one..)
i know exactly what you are sayin i thought about sellin my bike and getting something else.. then reality hit hard the re-sale value is in the toilet and so is the value on new bikes. so i decided to keep my bike put some bags on her and ride it i also put a new inverted front end and put a bigger throttle body on . keep it do the up grades you talked about and its like having money in the bank. when the economy starts to turn then try and sell it on your own. trade ins dont bring much.
when your talking 20 grand for a new glide.
