So I bought these pipes and had them put on before the bike left the dealer. I didn't even think about not being able to put my bags on. So before I cut these $700 pipes I thought I would see if anyone local might be interested in trading for some shortys. I don't want stock pipes and would prefer something black but would settle for chrome. But they have to be short. They're scratched a bit on the bottom from turning. (Didn't think about that either when I lowered it.) The scratch\scrape is about 2 inches long and half an inch wide but it's on the bottom so unless you're laying on your back, under the bike, you'll never see it.
Over here in Europe-land the custom is to simply have one saddlebag fitted to the left side, meaning you can what ever 'zorsts you want on. Why not get away from the herd & try looking at www.lejonkulan.com for some ideas. This guy has made me a superb hand tooled bag in 4mm thick leather. Or if Italian style is your thing, try www.francocuoio.it for ideas.
Either way, it's a cheaper option than getting some dodgy pipes from someone in a car parking lot!!
