In the end its still a Harley one of lifes Pleasures
Just like a loved one you can dress em up, try to change em, abuse em,fondle em,
But in the end there still the same Pulsating heart throb
I was always considered the black sheep of the family...lol...now most of them envy me and the spirit I still have ...alot comes from riding..they're yet to understand that
Not much to chop and weld unless you are altering the frame geometry or cutting up fenders. I'm not interested in cutting my frame and I'm kinda stuck with my stock fenders now that I'm into a custom paint job. I could hack some fenders up and pay beaucoup $$$ to have my painter match them to the tank, but I'm satisfied with mine. So everything else is pretty much bolt on........and that's OK with me. After all, it's all in knowing what to bolt on and what to remove.........and understanding that the end product is to satisfy the OWNER, and that's all.
Just been checking out the Sportster site lately as i used to have one and loved it.
Those guys are really showing us up !
They are cutting , grinding, shaping and all sorts to acheive something different with their bikes , why are we not (me just as guilty) all we seem to do is ride down to H-D buy another bolt on then pretend we are Orange County Choppers !
Apart from ALAIN at the moment who is cutting his fenders about, is anybody else doing anything thats individual or has someone else just bought some V&H 2+2 that we want to see!
All the Rockers are different but look the same, all the Night-trains are different but look the same, my Heartland fxstc is the same as another Heartland fxstc (back from paint shop soon i hope).
This is a great Forum and i have only been a member for about 18months but i dont seem to be see-ing anything different now..........PLEASE PROVE ME WRONG... and i will make the effort in the New Year ..
Don't be such a poser with your store bought V&H pipes and your Kury-yakkin' air cleaner! LOL I'm not really sure where you're coming from or where you're going. At this point, it does not appear that you are veering off the beaten path either. Everything I see that has been changed on your bike is store bought. You may have done a little trimming on the fenders, but that's about it. It is very possible that some people actually like their bike's bone stock. Your's looked pretty good before and after.
