Default Going on deployment for four months
Im in the military and will be leaving for 4 months and was wondering how I should store my bike in my garage, any thoughts?

Put Stabil in full tank of gas, run motor for a few minutes to get stabilized gas thru carb - injectors, hook up battery tender to battery, and cover the bike and you should be fine for 4 months. Good luck, come back safe and sound.

Good luck, come back safe and sound." BarjBar says it right. I was deployed/transfered OS for 14-months, put bikes in storage, clean and covered, and with stabilizer (no power for a trickle, though). Came back and the XL started but FLSTC had dead battery (Nady turned off and Howard's horn has current draw-oops!). New battery for FL and no problems; no moisture in fluids either but this was in Lemoore, Ca. so limited temp drop. Stabilizer burns right off if added correctly to gas. Hardest part was missing riding them but that came soon enough! Be safe, bro!

keep your head down. Both of my sons are deploying right after Xmas. Oldest to Iraq and youngest to Afghanistan. I'm sure glad they are both coming here for Christmas and whats really going to be special is they are trailering their bikes down here and we will be riding over the holidays!
