Have a 2005 Heritage Classic that I just traded for a Dyna. So, what is with the goofy toggle switch for the passing lamps and when are the lamps useful? Should the switch be left on all the time or just for night riding? Has anyone ever here ever re-wired these lamps with a switch that is more convenient to the hand? This whole toggle switch thing has me perplexed. Brad
Not sure, but I think it's in case you lose voltage you could toggle it off and still get home on your battery. At least that is what I would use it for.
I have em on all three of my bikes but seldom use them,Ive have em pointed out into the ditches for deer and other 4 legged animals when Iam riding at night........
I wish people would adjust them that run em durring the day so they aint shinning in your face when they pass you...
Personaly I think its funny that guys/gals run them durring the day...After all there night running lights not day running lights...
But to each thier own.......
