Welcome to the Cross Bones family. You are going to LOVE this bike. I know I do. I think it will look good with a sissy bar and no seat, just be careful about your luggage that it does not rub the fender, that would be a drag.
Right now i have a tall HD sissy painted black mounted on my bike.... no passenger pillion... rigid mount
I have someone fabing a custom 30" ... as soon as i get it and am able to powder coat it I'll have pictures up
it wouldn't look weird to have a sissy bar on there without a back seat so throw it on. the first thing you should when you get it is kiss it and take some pics.....then put them up !!! lol
The bike that made me want a HD (as opposed to another brand) was the Cross Bones (in black denim), but then I started getting an appreciation of ALL the softails. For a while I was going back and forth between the CB, Rocker C, Fatboy, and Heritage. Yesterday, I ended up winning a bid on a black denim Cross Bones and I couldn't be happier. I had bid on at least one of every other model and when I got outbid, I felt a feeling of relief. When I won the bid on the cross bones, all I felt was excitement! So I guess it was meant to be.
Now I am starting to look into mods. The only one I really want right away is the tall black sissy bar. It looks cool, and I need somewhere to strap luggage. I'm not crazy about the passenger pillion though. Would it look weird to have a sissy bar with no passenger seat?
Congratulation's! just do what I do, I take the rear seat and sissy bar off with my bag when I get there!
