Default Arm Fatigue on the Heritage

As some of you may have seen in some of my threads I am trying to decided between a RKC and the Heritage. I like both bikes a good bit, and just trying to do all my homework before buying.

I read a review in American Rider which they stated that after an hour on the bike the rider started to get some Arm Fatigue. I have not seen any post about this, and just wanted to know if this is a real issue? Thanks for the feedback.

Have never experienced arm fatigue on either one of my Heritages. 99 and 07. Used stock bars on 99 for about three years then switched to buckhorns. 07 still has the stock bars but I have them adjusted forward from how the factory/dealer had them set up. Very comfortable ride for 40 or 400 miles.

Never experienced fatigue of any kind on my '08. Butt, arms, shoulders or anything else for that matter. Can't speak for other riders but me and this bike were made for each other.

Never road a Heritage, but sounds to me like who ever wrote that article needs to hit the gym.

I own two Heritages, an '03 and an '07. Between the two of them I have close to 100K miles. I've ridden some 500 mile days and lots of 350-400 mile days. Never experienced ANY discomfort on either bike. That writer would probably get arm cramps just sitting in his Lazy Boy arm chair.

Have had 2 heritage, never had an issue, though I have to admit that I changed away from the stock handlebars straight away each time. I did experience shoulder aches with my first heritage after really long rides, but I tweaked the positioning of my handlebars a little and the problem was gone.

Thanks for all the feedback. The review of the Heritage was very good. This was the only negative he brought up. Doesn't sound to be an issue. Thanks

An average height rider (5'10") on a Heritage should experience an almost level arm from shoulder to handle bar. This position is LEAST likely to cause any type of fatigue by reducing the work the heart has to do to pump blood through the arms while also not allowing blood to pool do to gravity. On the other hand, beach bars will cause blood to flow downhill and pool in the hands while ape hangers will cause blood to run out of the hands and arms into the torso. This two conditions will cause severe fatigue in no time.
