I have a stuck guage on my 05 Fatboy. Is it possible to stick a coat hanger or something similar down the gas cap hole to pop it loose?
I assume that it has caught on the tip as I have seen in some of the other posts. I dont want to pull it all apart at this time just for a stuck float.
Thanks MikeM
Those gas gages just get you stranded. I pay no attention to mine. I just use the odometer.
When I fire up my bike, the first thing I look at is the odometer mileage, to see where I stand with gas.

wow... didn't know they were that unreliable? I have been using mine but since I don't like to ride with the light on I have filled up most of the time. Once or twice I've ridden further than I normally would, with the light on, but still assumed I could go 210-220 miles at least (45mpg). Guess I'll have to start paying more attention to the milage and less attention to the gauge.

I always use the odometer. It just drives me nuts when something doesnt work. I would just like to see it functional.
