Here's what I'm lookin to do. I want to add a Light/Turn Signal Bar on my 08 Cross Bones, (Going with 16" Chubbys and want to re-locate the turn signals) Not quite sure which one will work. I know it's been done, just can't find the post in Search. If anyone has done this Mod, or just a point in the right directionm Thanx.
I am not sure if your springer front end is the same as the Heritage Springer's (probably a parts guy could tell you). If so, buy a used springer light bar. I you are going to mount passing lights and turn signals underneath, you will have to get some brackets for the turn signals - Bubbas makes them. There is a light bar on ebay that someone has been trying to sell for awhile I think.
I believe the flstsb x-bones is not compatable with the springer heritage style light bar....
Well, thats what the stealer claims, and thats what the big book says, theres away around every rule..!!
I bought one that was on a 2000 FXSTS and had no problems with fitment on my XB....
I painted it gloss black... IMO it looks good.... just not sure if it fits the direction I am going with the bike though....
Thanks for the replies everyone! Cheesecake, thats the post I was lookin for. I knew someone had done it, just couldn't find it in search. Thanks Man. I'm going for the old school, long, low with apes. Gotta figure out something for the back fender too, the stock "Bones" is just a little too "SportBike" for me. But thats just me. I've got a picture of my uncle on an old Hog, late 30's early 40's , that we always said would look killer with apes on it. I'm trying to figure out a way to get a good scan of it to post, but not that good on computers.
