Default Fatboy Question

Hey , i was wondering is is it wierd to have the floorboards, when ya Stop do they hit your legs or are they no different than pegs..Thinking about buying a Fatboy here this month,i rode one along time back didnt seem to be a problem, and also is any 2007 owners having trouble with forks offset or is it no biggie.and what do you guys think of the 6 speed, and the 1584cc motor see alot of difference from the 06... Thanks Voodoo

I own an '06. I have rode the newer bikes with the 6 speed and it is the one thing I wish my bike had that the newer ones do.

Floorboards do not get in the way of your feet. It's nice to have the extra space so you can move your feet around.

I also have an 06 and would like the 6 spd even more than I would prefer the bigger motor.
But the floorboards are great. I didn't know whether I'd like them or not when I first started
considering the Fatboy but now I wouldn't want a bike without them.

Rode a FatBob for awhile, then a V-Rod, neither have floorboards. My 09 FatBoy however has them, it took me all of a 1 day ride and I was convinced that I like them. Great comfort. You will get used to them pretty quick. Hope this helps.

I'm headed out today to buy heel rests for my FX. I'm told they feel just like footboards.

My floorboards are extended and they don't get in the way, I guess if I were vertically challenged they might. I rode a friends Dyna recently, I couldn't deal with pegs on a daily basis.

I like the floor boards. Comfortable and roomy.
I have an 05 so I cant say anything about the 6 speed or bigger motor.

I love my Fattie. I have ordered the Harley Fwd Controls kit for mine this week. I think it will be more comfortable for me. We are all different. I like to have my legs kicked out further and the floorboards just don't feel right to me.
