gas tank removal

I want to polish my bike and I am thinking taking the gas tank off is a good idea. Is it that big of a deal.

not at all the hardest part about this is the crossover line. watch out for gas all over the floor. very easy to take off

I think it is a very bad idea. You need to apply the "Keep It Simple" principle.

Thanks for the input. I think I will wait until I can take it outside to remove the tank. On a side note that is a smokin nice bike you have there Tom.

I took the tank off once to install my CB. I think it was a big deal and would never do it just to polish it. Check out the service manual and see what you think.
