Just got done putting the S100 Engine Brightener on my engine. I am very impressed with how it looks. Really brought the deep black back to the black parts of the engine. Now, to see how long it lasts.
I have used both Pig Spit and S100. Either work great, IMO. Trouble for me is that Walmart no longer carries Pig Spit....Too bad, too. It came in a can twice as big as the S100 and cost a few bucks less per can.
When Walmart quit selling Pig Spit, I tried some CRC Silicone that is about 3 bucks a can....It works just as well.
Last time I went to the dealer for Pig Spit it was nowhere to be found. The pig spit can is bigger for the same price. But they both work great. Every wash the engine gets a nice shot of it...
Be careful of leaving the S-100 on any bare aluminum parts too long. It will leave white spots that are a real pain to get off later.
I like Simple green;
1, cause its cheap.
2. cause it leaves nothing behind.
3. cause it cuts through road grime, oil, and grease very nicely.
4. cause you can get it in galllon bottles of concentrate cheap at Sam's. oops, I already said that

He's talking about the engine brightener, not the cleaner. But you are right about the cleaner. Rinse thoroughly...
