I used Barnett on my FL 14 years ago.

They still work and look as good as day 1 if I do them again on my 08 I will use them again.

+1 for Magnum Chromite. Put them on my Deluxe last year. Installed with no problems. Even installed the front brake line (their dual design)..

I believe they make the DiamondBack for HD.

BTW, I hear ya on the stubborn 05 clutch, I'm going to replace the ramp and clutch spring with the reduced effort set when I change the cables. hope it helps.
I bought the Burly ramp dealie as well but my local Harley Guru is telling me not to install as he claims it will saw at the aluminum case gue to the changed angle of the cable and leave deposited material where I do not want it.

He told me that I should use the HD kit which isnt the same cheap ramp but something that looks like a lighter pressure plate almost.

I did some searching here and havent found anyone with sawing at the case issues due to installing the cheap ramp deal Burly, White Bros Etc..etc..

So I'm gonna go ahead and put mine in when I swap out the stock cable this week......

Along with my new PM Performance black grips with the cool *** renthal rubber on em and a set of black slotted levers.

I have a dern near brand new set of matching HD Buvckshot grips and levers that I know cost a bundle if anyone wants em' fer' cheap?

I cant seem to get along with purty big fat chrome slippery *** grip and prefer function over look in the grip dept.

Sterling Chromites for me......look great, well made and the clutch cable is braided from end to end. The HD diamondback clutch cable is only ss braided about 2/3rds of the way.

Its a cheap little deal that changes the angle or throw of the clutch line I guess?

There isnt much to it at all. My left arm is getting buff from pulling that manly *** 05' clutch with an old cable thats probably been lubed and full of dirt so I'm thinking that the little ramp and the cable should be all good.

I do see how the cable is angled kinda funky and looks as if it may in fact start sawing away at that case. I may choose to not even install mine.

Reduces the amount of effort needed to operate the clutch lever. Complete clutch disengagement is still achieved. Installs easily. Fits Big Twin 1987 thru 2006 except FXR and Sportster 1986 thru 1990.
1. Remove transmission cover.
2. Disconnect clutch cable from coupling, and remove clip from ball mechanism.
3. Unscrew clutch cable from transmission cover, and remove o-ring.
4. Easy pull clutch kit installs on ramp with just nut and bolt
5. There is a spacer that comes with the kit that goes on the end of the clutch cable. Once the spacer is on the O-ring is replaced and the clutch cable can be screwed back into the transmission cover.
6. Then hook the clutch cable back into the coupler and attach the coupler to the Easy Pull Clutch piece which is now bolted to the ramp mechanism. Reinstall the 3 ball bearings and the ramp mechanism and replace the clip.

this is the one I got:
http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

you have to take the exhaust off the get that tranny cover off too so it's not as easy as that add is saying. I do see where it looks like the cable is on an angle with that installed and could saw away at the case.

+1 ...I heard the same thing, and for much cheaper you can get their chromite II's which are super bright... I also heard alot of people with the diamond back's have the clutch cable braided halfway and plastic cover on the other half where as if u go strait to magnum you get a full braided line and at a fraction of the cost.
I was just reading of someone that went to Magnum's store and noticed that they have the DiamondBack lines in a display case on their wall he asked why they had them there and was told that they make them for HD ...so yeah, they do make DiamondBack, which seems to be a cheaper version of their chromite lines.
