Hi All. Please try to hold the laughter down, I already feel stupid enough as it is. Up until a week ago the newest bike I ever owned was a '71 FLH. A week ago I bought a 2004 2004 FXSTSI. Needless to say it has way more bells and whistles than the '71. Here's what happened. I had the security system set and not being used to even having a security system (except for my pistol), I went out and stood it up. All the lights started flashing and there was general chaos in the garage. I double clicked the key fob and stopped all the flashing. Now I get a constant security lamp on when I try to start it, and nothing happens. My question is, how do I reset the system. I haven't had time to get a manual yet. I'm lost and don't know how to get the thing started. I know I can't be the only person to do this. I hope it doesn't need the first owners personal code because I'm not sure I can get it because it was a trade in. Thanks for any help you can give me.

 

You might try re-arming the system then dis-arming with the fob. Don't ask how I know this.....

 

Thanks, but that's the first thing I tried. I've probably done that a dozen times or more by now.
