(Update) New Headlight Coming - Wiring tips....Installed Pics
Ordered the Cobra II headlight from easternperformance.com today. 99 bucks which seemed like a good deal. Anyway, for those of you that have replaced your headlight....
What all is involved in the wiring?
What colors are what?
Mounting should be easy (in theory), do you guys have any wiring tips?
Do I just cut the wires going into the stock headlight and soldier the new wires up?
Give me an idea of what I will be dealing with when it gets here......
Thanks in advance.

i can't really tell ya much about wiring the thing but i will tell you that it bolts right up to the trees and it will look awesome on your rocker... that head light was made to be on the rocker.
Thanks. I did a search and saw yours and said to myself.... "That's what I am looking for." All the threads about it just kinda dead ended, so here is my attempt at figuring it out......
I put the 51/4 headlight on mine think it was the viper.. Its kinda a pain but not too bad.. I didnt extend my wired ended up putting pressure on the buld and pullin it loose frequently and then burning up the socket.. So then I redid the wires when I changed the socket.. it will Look to be ok, but i'd lengthen the wires anyways..
Probably, but the light only has 2 coming out of it. Evidently, it is grounded through the mount. TTS tuner was a breeze, headlight will probably kick my tale.
Phantom i have about the same one from eastern. Here is what you got the wires on the light are what yellow and red if i remember right. The bike has White, black and yellow. the new light wires go like this red wire on light to yellow wire on bike, yellow wire on light to white wire on bike. Blk wire on bike is ground seal it off you don't need it light will ground thru bike frame system.
As for the old light i left a short pig tail out the back and cut the wires i then soldered the new light to the existing biker wiring and heat shrinked it
