Im thinking about getting one of the Harley FXSTC windshields that clamp to the fork legs with quick release clamps. Has anyone got any pictures or views on these? Sorry I dont know the part number. Thanks in adavance
Don't have pictures, but love the windshield. With the quick release clamps, I can have it on, or off, the bike in a matter of seconds. You WON'T regret the purchase...one of the best items I've gotten for the bike...in fact, I consider it a necessity when doing long trips or riding in cold/bad weather.
I used to ride with a detachable, but I hated the way it looked so much I sold it. I don't care how many miles I ride in a day, I'm happier without the windshield.
I have the windvest one and you can hardly notice it is there most of the time (when its not covered in bugs) and serves its purpose excellently. I still prefer to ride without it though. Heres a pic of the windvest on my fxstc.
My first windshield was a windvest and I tried to adjust it in every way I could think of and never got the thing to work for me. I sold it and bought one of the harley quick release you are talking about and it worked much better.
I've got the HD quick release windshield for my 2007 FXST, and I really like it (used it 3 times in the past 2 years). Only thing for me was to get used to the wind not hitting me head on, but coming around the shield and hitting me at an angle....feels funny at first.
Anybody have a part number for the Harley quick release version for the Custom? 57331-07 maybe?
I'm going to need one this summer an one that attaches to the fork tubes is a must since I changed the bars.

There are several different ones here. Yeah, that 57331-07 looks like it might go with your bars.
That's where I found that number. Liked the "look" of the Sport model a little better.
But its not a QD model and I'm not sure how well or not it would work or if it can be used with QD hardware.
