Take everything you can. Swap out parts from yours to his if necessary. Bank will just sell it and the new owner will take the stuff off of it rather than you.

I'd switch the covers and then try to sell it. I am sure the bank would rather have the cash. Unless of course there is only a little bit left on the principal. You may end up with enough to make some more mods to yours. JMO

Before you go crazy swapping parts try to find out from the dealer if your dad had a death payoff on the loan.
Lots of times the bank doesn't know that a buyer has a death insurance payoff clause on the bike.
In some states its often a seperate one time charge that's lumped into the total purchase price and done through a seperate insurance company by the dealer and the financing institution has no record of it.

Just a thought, but if he didn't SWAP AWAY!!!!

Check what citro said first, and then i agree with everyone else id take anything and everything i could off the bike then call the bank and tell them they can pick it up. They have no idea what condition that bike is in and what work your dad was doing on it.
